Spicy Recipes Pickled Winter Cabbage

Ingredients:
2 medium Chinese celery cabbage
1 carrot
1 apple
3 stalks spring onions
40 g gonger
7 cloves garlic
9 tbsps salt

Seasoning:
5 tbsps chilli powder
5 tbsps sugar

Method:
• Cut of stem of cabbage, cut in half and each leaf. Rub each evenly with salt. Let stand for about 5 hours or until the cabbage begins to soften. Rinse and drain well.
• Peel and rinse carrot and shred finely. Peel, core apple and cut into small cubes. Chop spring onions, mince garlic and ginger. Mix all these ingredients with seasoning and sufficient water to form a thick paste.
• Mix well cabbage leaves with the mixture and place in an air- tight container. Let stand at room temperature for 1 day and keep in the refrigerator.

Bahan:
2 sawi putih ukuran sedang
1 buah wortel
1 buah apel
3 batang daun bawang
40 gr jahe
7 siung bawang putih
9 sdm garam

Bumbu:
5 sdm bubuk cabe
5 sdm gula

Cara Membuat:
•    Buang batang keras sawi putih, potong membelah dua dan kupas tiap lembar daunnya. Kemudian bubuhi dengan garam tiap lembar daunnya. Diamkan selama sekitar 5 jam atau sampai sawi layu.
•    Kupas dan cuci wortel dan potong memanjang. Kupas apel, buang bagian tengah dan potong-potong menjadi dadu kecil.rajang daun bawang, jahe dan bawang putih. Campur rata semua bahan dengan bumbu dan air secukupnya untuk membuat adonan kental.
•    Campur rata sawi dan adonan dan masukkan kedalam wadah kedap udara. Biarkan dalam suhu ruangan selama sehari dan simpan dalam kulkas.
